I'm sure there's something you'd rather be doing more than crochet. Anything in particular? Unless you'd like me to unleash you on the members of my team who need weapons training... but I don't think you'd enjoy that.

I'd rather be useful. If the only bloody thing I can do is teach some people how to shoot or whatever else they need to pick up, that's what I'll do.

How much training do they need, and what exciting advances in the realm of firearms technology does the future hold for me to catch up on?

One of them is a doctor, and the other works op-tech. It's possible they know which way to point a gun, but I wouldn't bet on much beyond that. The guns are more or less the same - you won't have any trouble with that.

Just don't make Juliet want to shoot you. I think she might.

I'll take a look at the floor plans and see if there might be a shooting range somewhere in here. If there's not, I'll have Gwen or Ianto arrange a trip to a shooting range. I'm coming with you.

Considering that Torchwood doesn't know what it is that's sucking people into walls -- at least, as far as that Cooper bird says -- if it's smart enough to choose victims, if it'll do it again. and what it wants, if anything, I'd say I bloody well do have a point.
